Welcome to the fleet
In your first year with us at TR you can expect to be invited to our 2 day induction event, TRaction. You might have been to other induction days, we do ours a little different. You’ll spend time with some of the leaders that have been with us from the very beginning and from them you will learn where we’ve come from, where we’re going and understand your place in our team.

At TR Group you’ll have the opportunity to learn about yourself (self-development), the principles of Lean and other
tools and models to help you be the best version of yourself both at work and home.
Personal Development | It’s all about you
The OPC programme (named after the Outdoor Pursuit Centre) is all about our development in and outside of the workplace. This voluntary programme is run 2 times a year with 10-15 of the team spending 5 days away at the Tongariro National Park - learning about themselves and how they contribute to a high performing team. We are always looking to improve, and OPC can help identify strengths and blind spots that we may want to turn up or turn down to help us grow. The time away is designed to be challenge by choice - with team building, individual challenges and taking the time to deeply understand yourself. The programme continues back in the workplace with workshops and coaching provided to dig a little deeper for a further 18 months. Many of our team have expressed that their OPC experience was the best thing they have done in their lives!
Skilled Programme
Skilled is a 3-year learning programme built by us, for us - with a little help from our friend Dr John Edwards who had dedicated his 50+ year career to understanding human potential... he is one of the worlds best! The programme covers tools and models that we can use in everyday life to problem solve, think differently, and create success. These skills help to develop and fine-tune our expertise and help us to feel motivated from within to be great at what we do, and who we are. We cover ways to manage learning slumps, time management struggles, confidence makers, leadership development and more.

The TR team understand that we are only as strong as all the moving parts. We celebrate together, build relationships together, learn together and make a positive difference together. Our culture is one we all hold and care for deeply, with an emphasis on “you get out what you put in”. We challenge each other to respect and contribute to the culture we have built over 30+ years.

We are lucky to have some of the best in the business spend their working career with us at TR, from industry legends, to some of the best support teams we could hope for. We spend more waking hours with our workmates, than we do at home with our loved ones so it's important to us as a team to celebrate milestones such as 5,10,15,20 and even 25 years with TR Group.
