TR Group ESG Annual Report 2024

At TR Group, we believe that meaningful change is driven by actions that positively impact our team, the communities we serve, the environment, and the industry at large. This core belief has guided us in our mission to operate with transparency and accountability, ensuring that our actions are not only impactful but measurable. Our second annual ESG report is a testament to the progress we’ve made in these areas over the past year, and we’re proud to share the highlights.

A Greener, Cleaner Fleet

One of the most significant strides we’ve made in advancing our environmental goals is the expansion of our zero-emission fleet. In just one year, our fleet has grown from 3 to 55 zero-emission vehicles. This achievement is not just a milestone for TR Group, but a contribution to reducing the carbon footprint of the transport industry as a whole. These vehicles have helped prevent nearly 950,000 kg of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere, showcasing our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Innovative Use of Recycled Materials

Sustainability extends beyond our fleet, and we are continuously exploring new ways to reduce our environmental impact. In the past year, we’ve begun incorporating recycled materials into our trucks and trailers, including in the production of trailer curtains and mudguards. This initiative helps reduce waste and contributes to a circular economy, ensuring that materials are reused rather than disposed of.

Supporting Global Sustainable Development

We recognize the importance of contributing to global sustainability efforts, and we are proud to support nine of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals, which range from promoting clean energy to fostering economic growth and equality, serve as a guiding framework for our operations. By aligning our efforts with the SDGs, we are taking proactive steps towards a better, more sustainable future for all.

Combatting Modern Slavery

As part of our commitment to ethical business practices, we have implemented anti-slavery policies across all our processes in both New Zealand and Australia. This is an essential part of our dedication to ensuring that our operations are free from exploitation and that we uphold the highest standards of governance and human rights.

Investing in Our People

At TR Group, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in creating a company culture that nurtures personal development and supports the physical, mental, and financial well-being of our team members. Over the past year, we’ve made continued investments in programs and initiatives that help our employees thrive, fostering an environment where everyone can grow, develop, and succeed.

Looking Ahead

The publication of our second annual ESG report is not just a reflection of our achievements but a promise to continue pushing for positive change. As we move forward, we remain committed to transparency, accountability, and making a meaningful impact in everything we do. We hope that our journey will inspire others to take similar steps towards creating a better world, and we’re excited to see what we can accomplish in the year ahead.

At TR Group, we believe that every action counts, and we’re proud of the difference we’re making for the planet, our communities, and our people. Let’s continue working together to build a brighter, more sustainable future.
